I am supposed to start blogging about the food I eat. This serves several purposes, which I won't go into detail about, but will in general make the world a better place. To begin, I have chosen my favorite teriyaki place, because everybody needs a favorite teriyaki place.
Jo Jo Teriyaki on Olive Way in Capitol Hill is the best. Well, at least they presumably have the best everything. The only thing I've ever eaten there is the spicy chicken teriyaki and it is amazing. Consistent and truly spicy but not so much that you can't eat it--just enough to make your mouth feel like it's gonna be on fire if you take another bite. And then you take another bite because you have to. The salad dressing is your typical teriyaki place salad dressing only better. Everything is like that--only better. I have vowed to try other dishes from there but can never stop myself from getting the spicy chicken. I crave it and then have to have it and nothing else will suffice.
The portions are big enough to feed two people for lunch for about $7.00. That's a pretty good deal. Or you can eat it twice...from leftovers...and who can beat that? The best teriyaki in Seattle two meals in a row? Exactly.
